Queensland Advanced Tutorial
NEW!! The Sunshine Coast Haematology and Oncology Clinic (SCHOC) on Buderim, Sunshine Coast QLD, is the new venue for QLD’s Advanced Tutorial. Established in 1998, Sunshine Coast Haematology and Oncology Clinic, was the first free-standing day-hospital in Queensland, specifically designed for patients receiving treatment for haematology (blood) and oncology (cancer) conditions. SCHOC’s reputation for professional care, and knowledgeable and compassionate staff, have patients coming from all regions of SE QLD, as well as from overseas (whilst on holiday), for treatment.

The Advanced Tutorial has been developed to provide Therapists (OM2 and above) with advanced training in Oncology Massage, building upon skills learnt in Oncology Massage Modules One and Two. A special emphasis on post treatment care, with new and advanced techniques taught to ensure greater, longer lasting results for clients experiencing range of motion issues, impaired skin health, CIPN, insomnia and more. Working daily with the unique experiences that Oncology Massage brings has brought a high level of awareness to Tania’s work, as well as building a profound knowledge base from which to draw upon. She has developed advanced rehabilitative techniques based on this experience and, working holistically, uses them for scar mobilisation; range of movement difficulties and other issues that may arise from the treatment of cancer.

OML is proud to introduce the Advanced Tutorial at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre, part of the Austin Hospital in Heidelberg. The state-of-the-art Cancer Centre was opened in 2012, and the beautiful Wellness Centre has been incorporated into the main clinical setting, introducing a range of complementary therapies, including massage, into the Wellness and Supportive Care Program.

Bronwyn has been a massage therapist for 6 years and is an Oncology Massage Therapist employed at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre. Bronwyn has an Oncology, Lymphoedema and general Remedial Massage practice in Warrandyte. Bronwyn is a recent graduate of the OML Facilitator in Training Program.
